Outside the back door of my first floor flat there isa tiny seating space plus a conventional sloping staircase to my small garden. I would like a bigger seating space outside the back door at first floor level but do not want to sacrifice more ground level garden space. I would like to explore the feasibility of a larger seating area with a spiral staircase, the new staircase ending where the current sloping one ends so not taking up more of the garden. The current staircase and platform are made of balck painted rather rusty metal. I would be happy to have metal replacments ideally painted an attractive colour
(turquoise ideally) so it becomesa striking feature ofthe garden. My flat is in a terrace so everything needs to come and go through the flat - or perhaps over the roof?
