He turns up as planned, so is reliable in that sense.
However, most builders buy the supplies on your behalf but he doesn’t drive, so you will have to get your own materials, or place large orders with suppliers in order to get free delivery. I found myself going backward and forward to suppliers constantly, albeit using his discount card.
He didn’t get the job finished and his workmanship on what he did do was shoddy, in fact I have had to get much of it repeated, so have paid additional labour and material costs.
He does electrical work however isn’t qualified to do so as he hasn’t done the appropriate exams. One builder commented that the re-wiring work he did was actually dangerous, however I can’t substantiate that claim.
He will undercut all quotes, but if like me you have to get his work repeated, it will cost you more in the long run.
