Looking for a builder, joiner or decorator local to your location? Mr Skill allows you to 'post a job' or simply browse the tradesmen directory to find a local tradesmen.

I'm a tradesman how do I search?

Using the 'post a job' feature you can post your job to 1000's of qualified local tradesmen. Tradesmen will then post quotes or ask you a question about the job before providing you with a competitive price.

I'm looking for a tradesmen?

Using our tradesmen directory, you can find qualified tradesmen. If your looking for a builder, joiner or decorater etc.. ( For example in London ) you can simply search for a builder London,Joiner London, Decorator London. Your search results will provide 100's of qualified tradesmen matched to your specific type of work, It's that easy.


Faq Question & Answer

  • Is it possible to submit a quote on a job that has already ended?
  • Unfortunately, it is not possible to submit a quote on a job posting that has already ended.

    A job posting may end either because the normal runtime has elapsed, or because the homeowner has decided to hire one of the tradesmen through our platform while the job posting was still active.

    To avoid disappointment, tradesmen and builders are strongly encouraged to submit their Quotes straightaway as jobs are frequently assigned before the listing actual comes to its natural end.
  • You are unable to submit a Quote on a Job?
  • Quoting may be disabled for a number of reasons:

    You haven't signed into your tradesman account yet

    The job posting has already come to an end

    Your membership privileges may not be sufficient to submit a quote. To find out more, please refer to the
    Membership Plan Overview by clicking here
  • How can I withdraw a quote?
  • You can withdraw the quote submitted on a job at any time unless the job poster has already accepted it.

    To withdraw a quote on a job that is still running, please log into your account and then select My Quotes >> Live Jobs from the left-hand menu. To withdraw a quote on a job posting that has ended, please also log into your account and then select My Quotes >> Ended Jobs from the left-hand menu.



    In either case, you will then see a list of all the Jobs you've quoted on and be given the option to withdraw your quote.



    Alternatively, you may navigate to the relevant job description and scroll down to see your quote along with the other quotes submitted on the job. If you're logged in to your account, you will be given the option to withdraw your quote in the drop-down menu.



  • How can I change my Quote?
  • You can change the quote submitted on a job at any time unless the job poster has already accepted it or the quoting phase has already ended.

    To change a quote on a job please log into your account and then select My Quotes >> Live Jobs from the left-hand menu.



    You will then see a list of all the Jobs you've quoted on and be given the option to change your quote.



    Alternatively, you may navigate to the relevant job posting and scroll down to see your quote along with the other quotes submitted on the job. If you're logged in to your account, you will be given the option to change your quote in the drop-down menu.

  • How can I submit a Quote on a Job?
  • Once you've registered as a tradesman, you can start to submit quotes on Jobs in accordance to your chosen Membership Plan.

    Once you've identified a job of interest using our job search form, you simply need to click on the "Submit a Quote now" button that you find at the bottom of every quotation request.



    To see an overview all the Quotes you have submitted, please log in to your account and then select My Quotes >> Live Jobs / Ended Jobs from the left-hand menu.
  • What is an "Ended Job"?
  • In your Tradesman account, you will see a section called Ended Jobs.

    The term "Ended Job" is used to denote that the quotation phase has come to an end, and that the homeowner has been invited to select a tradesman.
