While a hot bath has always been a popular place to relax, these days many prefer the massaging effect on the body that a good shower provides. In older houses where hot water pressure is low, a power shower is the answer. Please note that you must have an electrician check for safety before you use you use your power shower for the first time. You can find an electrician at Mr-Skill.
o
Decide where to locate the power shower unit on the wall. Remove the front cover, position the unit carefully on the wall and outline its position with a marker pen. At the same time, mark where holes are required for attaching screws.
o Using a metal detector, establish the location of existing pipes and cables in the wall, and mark these clearly. Drill holes for mounting the power shower unit, after checking that these align correctly using a spirit level, and will not pass through any existing pipes or cables. Adjust the intended position of the power shower unit if this is necessary.
o Attach the unit to the wall. A useful tip that electricians in London use is to mount a power shower on a rubber pad to absorb vibration.
o After getting electrician quotes and having power laid on, you can proceed with the plumbing. Remove the existing taps and connect the power shower to the exposed connection points. Turn the water on again. After that, fit the riser pipe and shower head bracket.
Call the electrician back to re-check electrical safety. When they are gone, fit the cover to the power shower unit, turn on the water supply, and you have finished your power shower installation.
