By now we hope that you have the assurance that every one of our handy men and ladies has been personally assessed by us, and that we monitor their performance, as we do with all our other trades. But we also believe that there is more to choosing a handyman than simply that, and this is why we recommend that you get several quotes and interview all three. The chemistry must be right between the two of you, and they must fit in with your lifestyle as well – or else there could be unintended distractions.
o Will they get on with Rover? Dogs are supposed to mistrust strangers and can refuse to be friends with anybody they don’t like. We all tend to travel with too much gear, and that includes when we move between homes.  Unfortunately cowboy builders keep on popping up under the guise of pretending to be handymen and women. The difficulty comes when they start fiddling with basics like roofs, windows, doors and even foundations. Newspaper reports across the UK every week attest to the foolishness of hiring the services of an unqualified, incompetent builder.  In this busy, sometimes even hectic world in which we find ourselves these days, many of us are just too busy to keep our homes and gardens as tidy as we would like them to be. I am often asked this tricky question, which is about as easy to answer as is deciding whether a beggar is genuine. The  correct answer is that you get dishonest as well as honest people in every walk of life, which is why it is safer, easier (and often cheaper) to Find a Handyman on Mr-Skill.
